Hi Everyone Today I’m sharing with you a card I made using watercolour pencils with the Ice Cream Treats Stamp. Although I normally colour with alcohol markers & pencils, I do like to try different techniques when stamping images. In this step by step tutorial I’ll will talking you through how I stamped the Ice Cream using two different coloured ink pads.
Below we will list just what materials you’ll need.
What You Need
8×8 Card Blank TLD – Ice Cream Treats Clear Stamp Set TLD – 4mm & 6mm Mixed Coloured Pearls TLD – Sweet Treats Paper Pack Gold Mirror Card Watercolour Card White 210gsm Card Hexagon Nesting Dies Square Nesting Dies Memento Ink Pads – Desert Sand, Rose Bud, Dandelion, Bahama Blue Watercolour Pencils Embossing Folder
Step By Step
Step 1: With your square nesting dies – cut the largest to fit the 8×8 card blank in the gold mirror card. Then take the next die size down & cut a square in the white card.
Step 2: Take your momento ink pads and on a glass matt – press a little ink down of each colour separately & add a touch of water to each inked dab. Now with the small ice cream clear stamp press the stamp into the first colour of watery ink & start stamping to create a backing paper on the white card. Don’t worry if the ink runs you want the mini ice creams to look like they have a watercolour/sketchy feel.
Step 3: Once background is finished & dry matt & layer the stamped background onto the gold mirror card & stick them both onto the card blank.
Step 4: Take a large hexagon nesting die which will fit the 8×8 card – cut the first hexagon in gold mirror card & with an embossing folder run it through your die cutting machine. With the next hexagon size die down cut a hexagon in the waffle paper from the Sweet Treats paper pack. With another hexagon die down cut a piece of watercolour card.
Step 5: Now with the watercolour card – your ready to start stamping the large Ice Creams (you will also need to create a mask on a scrap piece of paper) Start with the center cone – inking up just the cone of the ice cream with Desert Sand ink pad first – careful not to go over the top line of the cone. Now ink up the Ice Cream part of the stamp in your chosen colour – I’ve stamped blue for my first cone.
Step 6: Now repeat the stamping using different colour for the ice creams – masking off the center ice cream
Step 7: Using the watercolour pencils start painting the ice creams. Once you’ve finished ink around the edge of the hexagon.
Step 8: Finish off by matt and layering all the hexagons – I’ve put foam tape on the back of the watercolour card. Die cut small hexagons for the sentiment. Pearls have been glued into each corner

Hi Everyone We’ve added a new set of clear stamped to our Etsy Shop! The beautiful Fuchsia Flowers. Today we are celebrating the new release with an how to guide – showing you how to create this beautiful heat embossed fuchsia background.
What You need;
* Twinkle Lane Designs – Fuchsia Flower Clear Stamps *Coloured Card – Pink & Purple *White Card *Silver Mirror Card *Blank Card (8×8″) *Decorative Dies – (we’ve used Sue Wilson) *Winsor & Newton Drawing Inks; Strawberry, Purple & Emerald *Embossing Ink Pad *White Pearl Super Fine – Wow Embossing Powder *Sequins *Glitter *Adhesive Pearls *Foam Pads
How To Create A Fuchsia Background;
Step 1: Take the white piece of card, I’ve cut it to fit an 8×8″ card. Then inked the fuchsia flower stamp with an embossing ink pad. Sprinkle Wow ‘White Pearl Super Fine Embossing Powder’ & heat with a heat gun. Continue to randomly stamp the fuchsia around the card.
Step 2: With your drawing inks it’s time to start painting your embossed flowers (the heat embossed lines will repel the ink). I’ve started with Strawberry coloured ink mixed a little bit of purple in & watered the ink down a little to create a lighter colour. Don’t worry if the flowers are different shades.
Step 3: Now with the purple ink – I’ve mixed a little strawberry in & again watered it down a little. Start painting in the top petals.
Step 4: With the emerald green – finish off by inking in the leaves. Once it’s all dry – go back in with the inks – without watering them down & add in darker tones to create shading.
Hello Everyone Today we are sharing with you our second sample using the Comos Flower Clear Polymer Stamps. When we first started shading the flowers they started off a more pale, pastel colours but once we layered the promarkers and coloured pencils they ended up much bright and bolder. Below we will give a list of materials we used & how to guide to create this eye catching Birthday card.
What you’ll need; * Twinkle Lane Designs – Cosmos Flower Clear Stamp Set *Alcohol Markers and Coloured Pencils * 7×7 Card Black * White Card * Black Card * Adhesive Gems * Green Card * Glitter (Gold & Silver) * Black Ink Pad * Square Nesting Die & Lacy Die (we’ve used a Sue Wilson Die) * Foam Pads & Double Sided Tape * Scrap Paper
Step 1: With the square nesting dies – cut the black card 7×7″ & then take the next size nesting square down & cut this one in white card. You will then need to stamp the smaller cosmos twice onto the scrap piece of paper to create a mask. Cut around the edge – you will need this once you start stamping around the edge of the white square card.
Step 2: Start stamping with the smaller cosmos in one of the corner. Mask this one & then continue stamping around the whole edge of the white card. When you get to the final cosmos – you will need to mask off the two cosmos flower on either side.
Step 3: Shade in all the cosmos flower in a colour palette of your choice – we’ve choosen five bright shades. Using promarkers and coloured pencils to shade each one. Once they are all shaded – use a glue pen around the outside edge & sprinkle silver glitter over the glue & tap off excess.
Step 4: On your spare bit of white card stamp our some individual cosmos flowers – shade those & cut round the outside edge. You can add a little gold glitter to the centers on each flower.
Step 5: I’ve used a Sue Wilson die & cut it in a spare piece of black card. Then with the same die set cut out a center piece & stamped a Happy Birthday sentiment in the middle. Laying these piece up with foam pads & stuck into the center of the stamp cosmos background.
Step 6: Once all your layers have been glued to the card blank – finish the card off with the individual cosmos flowers you stamped earlier & then some adhesive gems in the corners.
